Health Consulting

Service description
At Vitality Health and Wellness Clinic, our functional medicine and health consulting services focus on identifying the root causes of symptoms rather than only addressing them at the surface level. Through a comprehensive, patient-centered approach, we evaluate genetics, lifestyle, environment, and laboratory data to design individualized care plans.
Our functional medicine model emphasizes prevention, optimization, and long-term health outcomes. Patients may receive guidance in nutrition, hormone balance, sleep, stress management, and targeted supplementation, all under the supervision of licensed providers.
How Our Functional Medicine Consulting Works
At Vitality Health & Wellness, we offer two consultation options to fit your needs.
Comprehensive Intake Assessment
Patients complete a detailed health history and lifestyle questionnaire that explores nutrition, sleep, stress, medical history, and family history.
Advanced Laboratory Testing
Functional and conventional lab testing may be ordered to gain deeper insights into metabolic, hormonal, and inflammatory patterns.
Individualized Care Plan
Provider will design personalized strategies that may include nutritional interventions, lifestyle modifications, supplementation, or referral to additional medical services when appropriate.
Ongoing Follow-Up and Support
Progress is evaluated through virtual consultations, ensuring care plans evolve with the patient’s needs and goals.

What is functional medicine?
Functional medicine is a systems-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health concerns. It considers the complex interactions between genetics, environment, and lifestyle.
How is this different from conventional medicine?
While conventional medicine often focuses on symptom management, functional medicine aims to understand the underlying imbalances that contribute to those symptoms, with a stronger emphasis on prevention and optimization.
Who can benefit from functional medicine consulting?
This approach is beneficial for individuals experiencing chronic symptoms, fatigue, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, or those seeking a proactive and preventative approach to long-term wellness.
What types of lab testing are used?
Depending on your health concerns, providers may order both standard medical labs and specialty tests, including hormone panels, micronutrient assessments, gut health evaluations, and metabolic testing.
Are medications prescribed?
If clinically indicated, medications may be prescribed. However, functional medicine often emphasizes non-pharmacologic strategies such as nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle changes
How are consultations conducted?
All visits are conducted virtually through a secure telehealth platform, allowing you to access expert care from home.
How often will I meet with my provider?
Follow-up frequency is tailored to individual needs but generally includes an initial consultation, a review of lab findings, and periodic visits to track progress and adjust recommendations.
Is this program covered by insurance?
Our functional medicine services are not covered by insurance. However, many patients are able to use HSA and FSA accounts to cover the cost of care. We recommend checking with your plan administrator to confirm your eligibility.
What is the expected timeline for results?
Results vary depending on the individual and the complexity of their health concerns. Some patients notice improvement within weeks, while others require several months of consistent care to achieve significant progress.
Is functional medicine safe?
Yes. Care is provided by a licensed professional who integrates evidence-based practices and monitors patient outcomes to ensure safety and effectiveness.
